Well my first 2 days of school went really well. I have the rest of the week off and next week start at a school about 20mins south of Wollongong in a town called Unanderra. There are 8 of us going to that schoool so at least we will have each other....trying to find it...lol
We are hopefully getting our internet tomorrow at home. That is going to be so nice to be able to pop on really quickly and not have to pay a ton at the cafe's. Once our phone gets hooked up tomorrow then we can go and buy the modem for the net.
Nothing really to report. Went over to Devon, Tim and Mel's place last night and hung out there. One of the girls Melissa that talked to us on the weekend (past student) came over so we picked her brain about all sorts of stuff.....well i did anyways.
I think tonight we are going to head to North Gong pub again. It seems to be our hang out. There are a few other clubs in the city but they are more dance/posh clubs, not really my scene. I much rather N'Gong. It's a nice big open patio with tons of picnic tables. Once we have the net at home i will upload some pics of it. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday night N'Gong has a thing they call the roll. Basically what it is, is when you order a drink the bartender rolls the dice and you either pay full price/half price/or get the drink for free......PRETTY COOL!!! I haven't played it yet thought. I have to say it is a really bizzar feeling when we are all sitting around and you realize oh right i have to walk home....not that it is a bad thing (trust me our place is at the top of a hill no matter which way you approach it...i am going to have a tight butt when i get home..) just you forget, oh i can't hope in my car and head out!!! oh and living without a mobile (or cellphone) is killing me. I am sure it is just cause i am use to it, but OMG i am trying really hard not to cave and get one....but i dont know how long that is going to last...LOL
Well that is about all for now, we are going to go on an adventure and try to find the K-Mart....it's about a 20 min bus ride from here.

hello again!
Well the homesickness is getting better as you all said it would. We met yesterday with some of the prof's and previous students, which i think helped alot. Everyone here is so kind. And kinda makes me happy that they told me the year will go by fast. I am sure at the end of the year I am going to look back and think, what the heck was i thinking why did i want it to go so quickly.
Orientation starts tomorrow which i think is going to be a good thing, get me into a routine and kept busy.....cause we all know i can't just sit around i have to be doing three things at once.

Sydney was great, the hostel not so much. The one we were orignially booked in at was the most horrible place i have ever seen, so we moved to a new one, not much better but no nasty smell. We got to see some interesting things at this hostel, such as some "ladies of the nite" who were actually men and had better legs then any women i have ever seen!! LOL We walked down and saw the ophra house and bridge at night had a drink at the ophra bar. On the friday we wandered around all over the place, went to darling harbour, the rocks we did a harbour cruise. Once we have the net at home i will be able to put pics up on here for everyone to see.
We met up with Cecilia on the friday and wondered with her, it was really nice to see her again. We are hopefully going to be able to see lots of her while we are here. She might come down here for a weekend or we go back up there. Just have to wait and see what school load is like and money wise!!

Well it's been a couple of days, and nothing much has changed, except that we have moved in, gone shopping and that stuff.
I really just can't get over how much the homesickness has hit me, everyone keeps telling me that it will pass, but right now i don't believe any of them.
We are heading up to Sydney today for a couple of days, i am trying to be excited about it, but it's kinda hard.
I think alot of this homesickness is just dealing with issues i didn't deal with when i was at home. Lossing Dad and then having to leave Mom and Robert. I really hope it goes away or i might be flying home with Robert and Mandy...LOL
We are having a hard time getting our internet up and running cause our landlord had a pre-paid home phone and we have to get that line canceled before we can hook up our net. So hopefully we can do that when we get back from Sydney if he has cancelled the line.
One good thing is that incoming calls are free and we have found a number you guys can call which makes it super cheap to call us. before you dial our number you would dial 10-15-565 and then our number and its $1.50 for the first 30 mins, and you just hang up and call back again and still only $1.50 for 30 mins....not to shabby

Well we made it down here safely. It was a LONG trip but I was able to sleep most of the flights. Poor Lindsay wasn't!!!
Our hostel is great, nice and clean and close to most things (or at least what we have found)
We went and found our apartment building. It looks very nice, and there is a place available so hopefully Jenn and Ashley will be able to get it.
We get to move in tomorrow. I have to say my first few hours in Australia haven't been what i was expecting. The home sickness hit me a lot harder then i was expecting it to and sooner!!!
I am hoping it will pass sooner then later, or you might just be seeing me sooner then you thought....LOL

Alrighty well this is it. No turning back now!!! like there ever was a chance for that anyways.
I had practically no sleep last night. This cold is lingering and won't go away, and i am sure nerves had something to do with it as well.
Well it is 720am so i best be moving along. I have tons to do today with very little time.
The next time i post it will be in the land of OZ.

Well a lot has happened since i last posted.
I can't believe i leave in 9 days! It's funny, i have been talking about it for years, and now it is actually just around the corner, which is what makes it so not real right now.
I just sold my car, which also makes it more real.
I am so not ready to go yet. I still have thousands of things to do and not that much time. Then of course there is the need to see everyone before i got. And let me tell you, the goodbye's are going to SUCK!!!
I have booked our hostel in Sydney for Australia Day, which is the 26th. That should be good times.
I am guessing the next time i log on here will be when i am down there, and i dont' know how quickly i will have access to the net, i am hoping VERY quickly!!!
